Pharmaceutical packaging inside this material is not as simple as you might think
The four basic components of pharmaceutical blister packaging are the forming film, the capping material, the heat seal coating and the printing ink. In the United States, the most common blister package is made of foil, film, paper or a variety of materials attached to a piece of thermoformed plastic foam. Formed film accounts for about 80-85% of blister packaging, and the cover material accounts for 15-20% of the total package weight. Because the forming film and the cover material form a complete package, they must be precisely matched.
