Aluminum foil is made from raw aluminum alloyed and rolled through multiple processes. It does not contain harmful substances such as heavy metals. In the aluminum foil production process, a high-temperature annealing and sterilization process is used. Therefore, the aluminum foil can be safely in contact with food and will not contain or contribute to the growth of bacteria. In most cases, aluminum foil will not react with food.
