Most aluminum foil coating equipment uses anilox roller coating devices, so it is called anilox coating method. The anilox roller is composed of mesh cells and mesh walls. The concave points on the roller are usually called mesh cells, and the high parts are called mesh walls or mesh lines. After processing, the surface of the anilox roller is plated with a layer of hard chromium with a thickness of 0.015 to 0.02 mm to increase the surface hardness of the anilox roller. Its hardness value is H RC62-65.

Aluminum foil coating method

When using an aluminum foil coating device for coating, the working principle of the anilox roller is: when the adhesive fills the cells of the anilox roller, the anilox roller rotates. When the cells leave the adhesive liquid level, the roller The liquid on the smooth surface is scraped off by a scraper, leaving only the liquid in the cells that cannot be scraped off. This liquid (adhesive) then comes into contact with the surface of the coated aluminum foil substrate. This contact is achieved through the action of an elastic rubber pressure roller, so that a portion of the adhesive solution in the cells is transferred to the surface of the aluminum foil substrate.

Because the adhesive is fluid, it will slowly and automatically level on the surface of the aluminum foil, turning the original discontinuous liquid into a continuous and uniform liquid layer. Part of the liquid in the cells of the anilox roller is transferred to the aluminum foil, and the anilox roller rotates at the same time. After one rotation, it will be immersed in the adhesive liquid again, and the liquid adhesive will fill the cells again. , and so on. An anilox roller with a small diameter can continuously and evenly transfer the adhesive solution to the aluminum foil substrate, so that the adhesive can be evenly coated on the aluminum foil surface.

Aluminum foil coating method

Obviously, if there are fewer mesh lines per unit area on the anilox roller, the deeper the cells, the greater the coating amount; when the number of lines on the anilox roller is higher, the shallower the cells, and the less adhesive will be filled. , the coating amount is relatively small.

In addition, the cell shapes of the anilox roller are different, and the coating amount is also different. For example, a 200 pyramid anilox roller has 200 cells per inch and about 8 cells per millimeter. The adhesive storage capacity is about 0.5 pounds per square inch, or 24 grams per square meter. The 24-triangular thread shape has an adhesive capacity of up to 13 pounds per square foot, or 63 grams per square meter.
