Main features and application scope:
High strength, good heat treatment strengthening effect, medium plasticity in annealed and newly quenched states; unlike hard aluminum, the corrosion resistance in artificial aging state is better than that in natural aging state, and the natural aging process is slow and needs to go through 3 It takes several months to reach the age hardening peak, so 7A04 is used in the quenching artificial aging state. Its disadvantages are low structural stability, low low-frequency fatigue strength, and tendency to stress corrosion cracking. The alloy spot welding has good weldability but poor gas welding. The machinability after heat treatment is good, but the machinability after annealing is not good.
