Overview
GNEE is one of China's most reliable 5083 aluminum sheet manufacturers. Since 2006, we have been producing a wide range of 5083 aluminum sheets, serving businesses of all sizes. Over the years, we have built a strong reputation by supplying durable, high-quality 5083 aluminum sheets in bulk to our customers.
Difference Between 5083 Aluminum Tempers: H111 vs H112 vs H116 vs H321
5083-H116 – Designed for 5xxx series alloys with magnesium content of 4% or more. These sheets offer excellent mechanical properties and strong resistance to corrosion and spalling.
5083-H111 – Fully annealed sheets that have undergone moderate work hardening but do not reach the hardness of H11 condition.
5083-H112 – Hot-rolled products with mechanical properties that meet regulatory requirements.
5083-H321 – Suitable for aluminum with magnesium content above 4%. The work hardening from hot and cold working is slightly less than H32. H321 offers good performance stability, while H116 has stricter requirements for anti-corrosion and magnesium content.

Main Applications of 5083 H111 Aluminum Sheet
5083 aluminum alloy sheets are widely used where high corrosion resistance, good weldability, and moderate strength are required. Typical applications include:
Marine industry (boats, shipbuilding, marine facilities)
Automotive (fuel tanks, gas tanks, water tanks, heat shields, auto inner plates)
Aircraft panel welds
Pressure vessels and refrigeration units
TV towers and transport equipment
Armor plates and other applications requiring strict fire protection
FAQs
Can you bend 5083 H32 Aluminum?
Yes. Alloy 5083 is stronger than 5052 and 5005, but in temper H111 or O, it can be bent 90° without cracking. This makes it ideal for gas tanks, fuel tanks, and water tanks in trucks.

How strong is 5083 Aluminum?
With 4.0%–4.9% magnesium content, 5083 aluminum offers high strength and hardness above 81HB.
Is 5083 H321 Aluminum Sheet suitable for boats?
Yes. 5xxx series aluminum is considered marine grade. 5083 sheets with H111, H116, or H321 tempers provide high corrosion resistance, good weldability, and sufficient strength for large ships and vessels.
GNEE ensures that every 5083 aluminum sheet meets stringent quality standards and is suitable for demanding applications across marine, automotive, and industrial sectors.
