Good Form-ability 3003 H22 H14 aluminum sheet

Sep 10, 2025

3003 Aluminum Sheet Designed for sheet metal work, gasoline tanks, and other applications that demand a little more strength than 1100 series aluminum.

Commercially available 3003 aluminum sheet is made of 100% aluminum. It is moderately robust and can withstand rusting. It is not heat treatable, although it can be easily welded. It can also be made by hot and cold working processes. It is one of the alloys with high machinability. When being forged with heat, it is recommended to keep the temperature between 950 and 500 degrees Fahrenheit. When welding 3003 aluminum with alloys such as 5052, 6062, and 6061, a filler rod such as the AL 4043 is recommended.

3000 Aluminium Sheet Applications
Because of its excellent anti-corrosion properties, this series aluminum sheet is widely used in damp environments such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and the bottoms of automobiles.

The 3000 series aluminum sheet is approximately 20% stronger than the 1000 series, has excellent workability, and may be deep drawn, spun, welded, or brazed. The 3000series aluminum sheet is commonly used for a variety of purposes.
3003 Aluminium Sheet Approx. 20% more strength than the 1100 series while maintaining an outstanding workability rating. When anodized, it may discolor slightly, although it responds well to mechanical and organic finishes.

3003 is easily welded and brazed, although soldering is restricted to the torch process. Similar to 1100, it tends to be "gummy" when machined. Non-heat treatable. Typical applications include: food and chemical equipment, appliance components, truck and trailer covering, heat exchangers, and lawn furniture components.

This aluminum grade is also easily cold worked and has annealing possibilities, which should be performed at 775 degrees Fahrenheit during or after cold working. Afterward, air cooling should be permitted. The conductivity of 3003 alloys is 40% that of copper.

This metal is commonly utilized since it is both inexpensive and durable. Compared to the 1100 class of alloys, 3003 aluminum is 20% stronger. This is owing to its incorporation with 1.20 percent manganese. It is called pure aluminum and is widely utilized in a variety of applications, including storage tanks, tool boxes, walkways, truck beds, decorative trim, and chemical equipment.

It can also be used to make fan blades, cladding, trailer components, kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, and signage.

3003 aluminum has many desirable features that make it a popular choice. Aside from being weldable and corrosion-resistant, it also has a highly polished surface, making it an appealing option. Although thin, it cannot be bent easily and requires specific tools to do it.

Aluminum alloy plate Sheet 3003 H14 Bare is an ideal choice for chemical equipment and general sheet metal applications due to its outstanding corrosion resistance and workability.

Aluminum 3003 H14 bare sheet performs well in fabrication and decorative architectural usage because it is very workable, formable, and weldable, and it can tolerate outdoor conditions.

Alloy 3003 has very low strength, but it may be toughened significantly through cold working, allowing for a variety of "H" tempers. Alloy 3003 is also manufactured as a bright finish treadplate (sometimes known as a chequer plate) for industrial and decorative purposes.

3003-H14 aluminum alloy plate has 1.20% manganese, increasing its strength over commercially pure aluminum (1100 series). 3003 offers high workability, weldability, and corrosion resistance.

3003 Aluminum is one of the most extensively used aluminium alloys. It is a general-purpose aluminum with moderate strength, acceptable workability and weldability, and excellent corrosion protection. 3003 is a non-heat treatable grade that can be deep drawn, spun, welded, or brazed.
