Transformer manufacturers typically choose grades 1050, 1060, 1070, and 1350, with an aluminum composition of at least 95% but typically over 99.6% to 99.7%. Aluminum sheet foils are primarily utilized as the conductive material in dry-type transformers with high and low voltage windings.
