The profiler aluminum 6000 Series contains mainly magnesium and silicon, and therefore combines the advantages of the 4000 and 5000 series. 6061 is a cold treated aluminum forging product for applications requiring high resistance to corrosion and oxidation. It has good serviceability, easy coating and good workability.

The appearance of 6000 Series profiler aluminum is closely related to the surface state before oxidation, while chemical pretreatment (especially alkali washing and chemical polishing) determines the surface state, the surface state after chemical pretreatment is still essentially dependent on the microstructure of the matrix, the type, size, and distribution of intermetallic compounds, as well as the grain size and its orientation. These, in turn, are related to the alloy composition and processing.
