Lacquer Aluminum Foil Application
Coated Aluminium Foil is widely used as a packaging material for food, pharmaceuticals and various other products due to its lightweight, barrier properties and compatibility with printing/decorating processes.The coating thickness applied to lacquered foil typically ranges from 0.5 to 5 microns. Coatings at the lower end of this range are usually sufficient to provide an inert barrier for most food contact applications. Thicker coatings may be applied when very high barrier properties against moisture, oils or other permeants are needed.
Lacquer-coated aluminum foil brings key features required for airline foodservice applications. Produced on a 700mm wide master reel at 40 microns thick, this robust yet formable substrate provides a barrier to oxygen, moisture and odors during transport.
