What are the advantages of aluminumfoil over cling wrapping film? As we all know, they are common packaging materials used in homes. Plastic cling film is popular because of its low-cost and light-weight. But alufoil can be used at high temperatures conditions, where the film is not suitable for using at all.

Wettability is able to describe the surface condition of aluminum-foil. If there is oil on the surface of aluminiumfoil, the wettability grade will be lower. If the wettability grade is high, it is considered grade A. Grade A can be in direct contact with food materials. Grade of B or C usually indicates a low wettability grade of the alu-foil.

Steel, alu or paper can be used as the inner-core of alu_foil big roll. The jumbo roll usually come in two inner diameters: 152mm and 76mm. During the production aluminium_foil is annealed at high temperature, the paper core needs to be rolled again after annealing to avoid to be damaged during annealing.

Alufoil guages can be sorted into 3 types usally: its guages mean the thickness. If aluminiumfoils have a thickness under 0.01mm(10micron), we call it light guage. If the thickness of the foil is between 0.01mm and 0.1mm, we will regard it as medium guage one. Heavy guage usually refer to the foils with a thickness more than 0.1mm.
