It is commonly supplied in flat-rolled coil, sheet, and plate forms by a wide range of mills. As a high-magnesium alloy in the 5000 series, 5052 aluminum offers moderately high strength and can be significantly hardened through cold working, allowing for a variety of "H" tempers. This alloy is also produced as tread plate (chequer plate), primarily used for industrial and anti-slip applications.
