Surface Treatment of Aluminium Window Extrusions
The surface treatment of aluminum window extrusions mostly uses anodization, which gives the profile surface a silver-white color. Surface treatment enhances the appearance of the profiles and extends the lifespan of aluminum door and window profiles. The anodization process flow includes the following steps: loading → degreasing → washing → alkaline etching → warm water washing → cold water washing → neutralization and brightening → washing → anodization → cold water washing → warm water washing → sealing → drying → unloading → final inspection → packaging. The thickness of the oxide film after anodization for aluminum door and window profiles should not be less than 10μm. Additionally, aluminum door and window profiles can undergo coloring treatments. For profiles requiring other colors, natural oxidation coloring, electrolytic coloring, and immersion coloring methods can be used.
