Aluminium Foil used in pharma packaging
The thickness of pharmaceutical grade aluminum foil is generally 20 and 25 microns (+/-8) for blister packaging applications. This aluminum foil is processed and rolled with alloy 8011. Aluminum blister foil is rolled, so one side is dull (matte) and the other side is shiny (shiny). One side of the foil is coated with printing paint to make it suitable for surface printing (rotary gravure/flexo), and the other side is coated with heat seal paint to make it suitable for use with PVC film, PVDC coated PVC film and cold-formed aluminum aluminum foil .
